Consulting

Analytics and Consulting are part of the natural progression of project services. Past is prologue; it explains today's conditions, and provides useful data upon which to base future plans. Thus, it, too, is a vital part of the KISS Full Service Approach, another indispensable part of the whole.
Web site statistics provide a lot of numbers to crunch. The data collected includes site traffic by the day/week/month, pages visited within the site during that period, the sites from which visitors came (ie., search engines), e-newsletter readership statistics, the number of shopping cart sessions as compared with the number of orders placed, site and shopping cart exit pages, and other useful information. We analyze the numbers for our clients and prepare a report with our findings, along with our recommendations for new action steps, including updates in design or content as deemed necessary and appropriate.
For example, if we see numbers suggesting far more cart sessions (a session is any time a visitor enters the shopping cart) than purchases, we’ll examine the page from which those visitors are leaving the cart to determine why that might be happening. Perhaps the copy is not as clear as it could be; or the button to buy is not prominent enough; or perhaps the check-out process is just too long. We’ll then develop new copy, or adjust the buy button, or streamline the process on that page . . . . whatever our findings tell us . . . . and then watch the following month’s numbers to detect changes or improvements in performance. We’ll continue this testing and analysis until we see enough improvement to let things be for a while. It’s not glamorous work, to be sure. It is, though, attention to detail, and patience, and analysis, and this is the KISS difference.
An e-commerce web site is a perpetual work in progress. Fine-tuning is essential to keep the business engine running smoothly and effectively, and to meet ever-changing customer and market demands. Internet trends and technology advancements bespeak the necessity of constant vigilence over our clients' sites. We consider ourselves to be very good at doing so, and our Consulting Reports have been called “detailed,” “very thorough,” and “meaty” by many clients.
KISS is available for general Internet consulting services, in addition to those provided to our web site clients following launch of a new web site. We sell a minimum of half-day increments (4 hour blocks) at $125 per hour, and all of our consulting work results in a written report of our findings, and where applicable, our recommendations.
